WOW RIDERS COME TO TUMBLER RIDGE

WOW is a group of Way Out Women from across Canada and the United States who are interested in drawing attention to the profile of female snowmobile enthusiasts and raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

This year?s BC riders are Angela Merritt, Carol Dasher and Deanna Whiteway. They set out from Squamish on January 26th and arrived in Tumbler Ridge on January 31st after a hard ride up from Prince George.

The group was by the Tumbler Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club. They had supper with the ladies before making a donation to the Foundation. Dr. Charles Helm also met the hearty souls and gave them a slide show about recent dinosaur finds. The BC Riders raised some $20,000 on their part of the ride. They hand off to the Alberta team on February 2nd in Grande Prairie.
