The EU and its member states must strengthen their security capabilities to successfully respond to these cyber threats. This is why it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between member states and EU institutions, NATO, the United States and other strategic partners.“, Says MEP Urmas Paet.

Therefore, the report recommends the creation of a joint cyber security unit to regulate the adequate distribution of information between unions, organizations and organizations and to promote a faster and more secure information network.

MEPs welcome the European Commission’s action plan on integration between the civil, aerospace and defense industries, as cyber security capabilities often have two dimensions (civil and military), while recalling the close dependence of these three sectors on cyber security. Security.

In addition, MEPs believe that the EU should be technically independent, innovate and invest more in cyber security skills and personnel.

They call for joint and coordinated responses to cyber attacks, which NATO calls for, so that these responses can be met with sanctions.
